After many years as a financial advisor, I concluded that the overwhelming majority of investment management firms are making three fundamental mistakes:
Most are too focused on trying to “beat the market”, and spend too little time ensuring that clients are invested in the right mix of asset classes, according to the time frame over which the investments will be used.
Most are sales organizations, built to cross-sell their clients financial products, and most are staffed by sales people, not investment professionals, who often fail to provide the depth and breadth of advice their clients need.
Most are charging their clients too much.
So, in 2013, I founded Golden Bay Advisors to manage money differently from other firms and provide personalized, all-encompassing financial advice to successful individuals and businesses at a fair price.
