About Our Name

Golden Bay is both real and aspirational. In the most literal sense, Golden Bay is an inlet in northernmost part of the South Island of New Zealand, a magical place of pristine beaches and endless sand. But on another level, Golden Bay is a proxy of sorts for a unique, bucket-list type of place each of us hopes to have the time and wealth to experience one day.
